Retirement Planning Services

A comprehensive financial plan that’s built for you, free of charge.

Let’s Meet

The terrain of financial planning is complicated. A great compass will show you the easiest path to financial security.

Retirement. Investments. Insurance. Taxes. Estate Planning. Budgeting. It all needs to work in tandem if you want a financial plan that’s resilient and maximized for value.

But the most important quality of a financial plan is that it’s designed to meet your vision of the future.

At Winthrop Partners, we customize a financial plan that meets your needs and your vision. You always maintain full access and full control. We are the compass in your pocket as you navigate the road of financial planning.

Financial Planning Process

1. Understand

The key to building a comprehensive plan is understanding our clients, their financial circumstances, their risk profiles, and their financial goals. We ask the right questions and actively listen to gain an extensive understanding of your needs.

2. DESIGN

Using financial models, information gathered from the first meeting, and additional financial documents, we develop a plan. We present a personalized and dynamic plan tailored to your unique situation and goals.

3. IMPLEMENT

Once approved, we begin the implementation process by transferring and consolidating all your assets under one umbrella. We review key issues and use extensive resources available through Raymond James to set up your account for third-party custodial monitoring.

4. MONITOR

As a fiduciary, it’s our responsibility to construct, implement, monitor, and review your portfolio on a regular basis to ensure your investments align with your goals and objectives.

Our Difference

FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY

The Securities and Exchange Commission legally and statutorily requires Registered Investment Advisors, like Winthrop Partners, to be Fiduciaries. Since we are Fiduciaries, we are ethically bound to act in the client’s best interests.

We take this duty one step further – we are Fee-Only Fiduciaries and accept no other compensation than the fee agreed upon with our clients. Private bankers, brokers, bank wealth advisors and insurance agents are not required to be Fiduciaries. These individuals do not sit on the same side of the table as their customers because they are attempting to sell their customers products for which they receive commissions or other compensation.

RESPECT FOR THE CLIENT’S GOALS

Financial planning isn’t about what we want – it’s what you want. Every portfolio that we build and manage is geared toward meeting the client’s goals for the future. Additionally, every client has a comfort zone that resides at an intersection

of risk and return. We invest time and use sophisticated methodologies, including behavioral finance techniques, to understand the risks clients are willing to take. Equally important, we aim to minimize the necessary risks for clients to reach their financial goals. By comprehending clients’ goals, timeframes, and risk tolerance, we create flexible financial plans that prioritize their objectives while minimizing risk. We remain alongside clients throughout plan implementation, monitoring progress and adapting as circumstances evolve.

HIGH-TOUCH & HIGH-ACCESS

You always have full access and ownership over your accounts. We are fully transparent in the changes we make to your portfolio. Additionally, we are highly available to our clients. We provide you with our personal cell phone numbers

and email addresses, and personally meet with you to review your portfolio. We provide additional meetings upon request, and respond to your queries within 24 business hours. If you come to us with an issue that is not in our wheelhouse, we’ll connect you with someone in our professional network who can provide you with answers.

REGULAR & SPECIAL MEETINGS

Meeting face-to-face (in person or virtually) is essential for robust portfolio management. In the early stages of the relationship when a higher degree of financial planning is needed, weekly or monthly meetings might be appropriate.

When issues or changes in circumstances arise we are there to help you assess the impact of these changes on your goals and to make any changes to your financial plan to keep you on track to achieving your goals. Once the relationship is established, most clients elect an informal quarterly telephonic update with a formal annual review.
